FROM THE DESK OF THE PASTOR
October 2026 • Back to Eden

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Welcome to October!
We have just come through a month of consecration, prayer, fasting, and Sacred Silence. September was about Preparing for a Shift—making room for God to repair, realign, and refocus us.
Now, I believe God is calling us to walk in what He has prepared us for.
This month our theme is Back to Eden: Living in Kingdom Authority.
“Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness. They will rule…” — Genesis 1:26 (CSB)
Before there was a church building, title, position, or platform, there was an assignment.
From the beginning, God created humanity with purpose. He gave us responsibility, stewardship, boundaries, and authority. But Kingdom authority is not about controlling people—it begins with being submitted to the King.
September taught us to get aligned.
October challenges us to walk aligned.
So this month, I want you to ask yourself:
What has God placed in my hands that I need to steward better?
Your family. Your time. Your gifts. Your finances. Your influence. Your relationship with God.
Don't become so focused on asking God for something new that you neglect what He's already placed in your hands.
October is also an important month for our church. On October 17, we will gather for Bethel Forward, where I will share the vision for where we are going next as a church family.
There is more to build. There are more people to reach. There is more work to do. And there is more God has entrusted to this house.
Bethel, we're not going backward.
We're going back to God's original intent so we can move forward in His purpose.
Walk in authority. Steward what He's given you. Stay submitted to the King.
We're going Back to Eden.
More Grace,
Pastor Erick D. Bowens
